Kick plate installation or partial metal replacement is commonly undertaken during restoration projects. This process often involves covering the lower portion of the enclosure with 1×2 angle aluminum and replacing the cage anchors. Doing so not only reinforces the structure but also provides a clean, high-quality finish that restores the enclosure’s appearance to like-new condition.

Additional aluminum components may be installed to accommodate new screen panels, doors, kick plates, or other structural modifications. Reinforcements are also added where necessary to enhance the overall strength and safety of the enclosure.

In some instances, existing metal elements are simply re-secured to the structure, particularly when screws have become loose or corroded over time.
